Rescued Blessings
Teresa Young never really dreamed of becoming a writer until after her two precious Shih Tzu rescues, Myrtle and Mojo, had passed. The grief was overwhelming, as it is for most pet owners who have lost their beloved fur babies. Part of her grieving process was putting together a book of all the calendar photos of the two dogs. It was only meant for her family.
Once she made the photo book, she realized she wanted to share their story with the rest of the world. And she wanted to publish it. She told her daughter, Kimmy, of this idea, and Kimmy laughed, saying, "Oh Mom!" Well, that comment only gave fuel to Teresa's idea.
She soon wrote out their story, joined the local American Christian Fiction Writers, and hired an editor and formatter. She had begun her journey as a novice author. Her book, Blessings from Above: Seeing God's Love in Rescue Dogs, soon took on a better direction than it had in the beginning, thanks to the gentle guidance of her editor, Janetta Fudge-Messmer. Anyone who is writing a book really needs a good editor.
Soon, her daughter Kimmy joined the team and designed the book cover to cover. Teresa could not have been more pleased with the job Kimmy has done and the collaboration has brought them even closer than before.

It is no secret that most people love their dogs. In fact, many people think of their dogs as family members, referring to them as their babies. Some even adorn them in outfits and silly costumes. I am guilty of all these things.
And in this book, you'll meet Myrtle and Mojo - our two beloved rescues. They didn't come from a breeder, pet store, or dog shelter. These dogs came from a house in which they were most likely not even given a name. But God knew their names! He is the True Rescuer.
This is a story of how our Father in heaven brought two little unexpected surprises into our lives and enriched us beyond all our expectations. He not only had a plan for them but more importantly, He had a plan to help our family gain a deeper understanding of HIS AMAZING LOVE through the lives of these two tiny blessings from above.
